Conversation Design Team Lead

We are seeking a Conversation Design Team Lead to join our dynamically growing organization. You will manage a team of conversation designers and facilitate the development of interfaces and dialogue flows for chatbots, voice assistants, and other AI-powered systems. You will provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional conversational solutions. You will foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity, continuous learning, and professional growth.

On a typical day, you will:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Conversation Designers proficient in both Czech and English.
  • Plan and prioritize conversation design projects, effectively allocating resources for timely delivery of high-quality conversational experiences.
  • Develop and execute a conversation design strategy aligned with business objectives and user needs. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, integrating them into the team's approach.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders. Effectively communicate design concepts, goals, and requirements, ensuring team alignment and collaboration.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and quality assurance checks of conversation designs to ensure usability, clarity, and effectiveness. Provide feedback and guidance to the team to enhance overall quality.
  • Work with the team to conduct user research, gather feedback, and perform usability testing to inform and validate conversation design decisions. Utilize insights and data to optimize and iterate on conversational experiences.
  • Identify training needs and provide coaching and training to enhance the skills and expertise of the team. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, collaborate to understand business requirements, goals, and constraints. Provide regular project updates and ensure alignment on design decisions.

About you

You are:

  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to convey complex ideas concisely and build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • An efficient problem-solver, capable of analyzing information, considering multiple perspectives, and making informed decisions.
  • A resilient and empathetic leader, able to inspire others, recognize and relate to their experiences and emotions, and foster a supportive and inclusive work environment.

You have

  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in conversation design, UX writing, or writing product documentation.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team in an agile environment, including hiring, mentoring, coaching, and career development.
  • Expertise in workload management, task prioritization, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with chatbots, voice assistants, or other AI-powered systems as a plus.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) technologies and tools, including training and refining NLU models, as a plus.
  • Full professional proficiency in English is required. Business proficiency in Czech is preferred.
